Ok so I am not caught up – I just posted pictures for the past 2 weekends, but I used their actual dates so everything in my blog is in date order. They are posted here:

This week’s picture I took last wednesday. I drive over the Piscataqua River 2 times every weekday to and from work. So I pass many docks on my commute, but I never saw this dock look so beautiful before.

I hope you enjoy!

What I did this weekend

We caught up on our sleep.

We took a walk on a frozen lake. I wiped out on the lake…and my camera hit the ice too.

I tried editing images on my laptop at home – but the screen kept turning on and off. I just got this laptop repaired. I planned on posting images from the weekend of Jan 23 and Jan 30…but I couldn’t because of the screen issue.

So I thought last night, oh, no problem I’ll bring home my work laptop to post the weekend pictures on Monday night. Nope, I’m not babysitting a 4 year old and 10 month old boys. So I guess I will try to edit and post images after I get the baby to fall asleep (of course in my arms…oh how I love holding babies!!!) and his older brother is watching some show on some kids TV network. I should really invest in some Thomas the Train DVD’s so we can watch those instead of the good night program on Nick Jr.

But the picture I have to post from weekend of Jan 23 is of the oldest boy I’m watching tonight!

So, this is a boring post with no pictures, no funny stories (unless you consider me falling on the ice funny…and me just laying there laughing while Danny scrambled to pick up my camera off the ice) and no cool youtube videos. Just plain ol’ text.

Did anyone catch the Duggar’s show last night?

We went to Lake Winnipesaukee (or as my boss calls it, Lake Winnie the Pooh) to see what was going on. I forgot my creepers (those things you put on your shoes so you can walk on the ice) and I fell down, so did my camera. Luckily my camera is just fine and so am I!

The ice was pretty thick as there were planes taking off and landing right on the ice!!

But this weekend’s picture is of one of the bob houses we found. It’s not a funny looking one, but just one of the many like it that we found.

Just in case you were worried – we bought some creepers and hope to get back out on the ice and no more falling for this aspiring photographer!

Update and Haiti

I did take pictures this past weekend on top of singing in 2 choral concerts, running a friend around since her husband is away with the Army National Guard and she got into a car accident with her 2 young boys in the car (praise God no one was injured – just the car with minor damage), cleaning our entire condo since we have a showing tonight (pray that we get a buyer soon!!) bake & decorate a cake to feed approximately 60 people for tonight and attend 2 gatherings (Sunday night and tonight – which means we also had to make food to bring to those parties). I also work full time, so I haven’t had much time after work to edit images.

I promise I’ll post my weekend picture later this week.

I wanted to leave you with the words of one of the songs that we sang in our concerts over the weekend. We started rehearsals in September 2009 with performances Jan 22 and 24, 2010. The following song, Prayer of the Children, was so touching after the earthquake in Haiti.

Prayer of the Children

Can you hear the prayer of the children
on bended knee, in the shadow of an unknown room?
Empty eyes with no more tears to cry
turning heavenward toward the light.

Crying,” Jesus, help me
to see the morning light of one more day,
but if I should die before I wake,
I pray my soul to take.”

Can you feel the hearts of the children
aching for home, for something of their very own.
Reaching hands with nothing to hold onto
but hope for a better day, a better day.

Crying,” Jesus, help me
to feel the love again in my own land,
but if unknown roads lead away from home,
give me loving arms, ‘way from harm.”

Can you hear the voice of the children
softly pleading for silence in their shattered world?
Angry guns preach a gospel full of hate,
blood of the innocent on their hands.

Crying,” Jesus, help me
to feel the sun again upon my face?
For when darkness clears, I know you’re near,
bringing peace again.”

Dali čujete sve dječje molitve?

Can you hear the prayer of the children?

The lyrics were taken from Wikipedia. For more information about this song, please visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer_of_the_Children

While we haven’t yet received the soundtrack from our concert, I wanted you to be able to hear this beautiful song. Enjoy!

Ok I’m trying to get caught up with my old posts.

This week’s picture is of my friend’s son’s Thomas toy. A few weeks ago my friend, Tracey over at These Nine Acres posted a picture of a doll that belonged to her grandmother and brought back many childhood memories.

Keegan LOVES his Thomas trains, and rarely does he leave his house without Thomas in hand.
