Weekend #2 – The Beach

Posted by djw209 on January 17, 2010

Last Sunday (January 10, 2010) after church Danny and I went for a walk at the beach. Yes, the beach. It was about 6 degrees out and, as it ALWAYS is at Maine beaches, it was very windy out.

But we had a good time walking while the tide was out – many people were walking on the beach but no surfers. I’m going to have to wait until there is a storm off shore so I can get pictures of the surfers in the winter. It’s quite comical seeing cars driving down the highway with surfboards on the roof, but there are quite a number of dedicated surfers at York Beach, Maine!!

Yes, this is how you dress when you go to the beach here in Maine during the winter!!

Great shots! The beach is wonderful anytime of the year as long as you are dressed for it! I can’t figure out what that first photo is? A feather? A jelly fish? Help?
